Mid-Missouri TAWL
Mid-Missouri TAWL is an organization devoted to teaching and learning by understanding the relationships between language and thinking. Through meetings and conferences, we provide opportunities for teachers, administrators, parents, board members, legislators, and other concerned citizens to investigate holistic theory and practices of literacy (reading and writing). Read more about Mid-Missouri TAWL and Whole Language. Our meetings begin at 7 pm at Mary Paxton Keeley Elementary in Columbia. Join us! Plan on arriving early to meet with other teachers and talk about your professional interests and concerns.
We had a great time at WLU's Literacies for All Summer Institute, Reclaiming Joy in Teaching, Learning, and Research, to be held July 19-21, 2012 in St. Louis, MO.
